February 15th: Lupercalia
On February 15th, several BLSJCL students came together to celebrate Lupercalia! During our celebrations, students had the opportunity to play street Certamen, video games, and create origami hearts for the school nurses. We hope these hearts will show our appreciation for the nurses' hard work during these past few months!
January 17th: MLK Service Event
On January 17th, twelve students from the BLSJCL volunteered with Boston Cares to create ESOL and citizenship flashcards. We then cut out these cards and sorted them into bags for immigrants to use!
December 2nd: Classics Day
Classics Day was a blast! Thanks to MassJCL for organizing, and Boston University for hosting us! We learned many things from all the presenters, whose lectures discussed topics ranging from Sappho to Cleopatra to Disabilities in Ancient Greece!

November 17th and 18th: BLS Chess Tournament
For two days, BLSJCL and BLS Chess Club collaborated to host a school-wide chess tournament! Students came to show off their chess skills and learn about ancient Roman chess - Ludus Latrunculorum!
October 3rd: Roslindale Parade
Although the 45th annual Roslindale parade was cancelled, BLS showed up strong for the 46th annual parade on October 3rd! Chanting cheers down the streets, we proudly displayed our JCLove while showing off the best tridents and swords in town!
October 7th: First General Meeting
BLSJCL kicked off the year with an introduction to the club! Officers helped inform new members of upcoming events, and afterwards we played a classically-themed Kahoot in the Seevak Room!
