ABOUT

The Boston Junior Classical League is an organization open to middle and high-schoolers that seeks to encourage knowledge of the classics. It is one of the largest chapters of the National Junior Classical League. 

JCL holds many activities such as academic contests, creative arts, graphic arts, Olympika, and Certamen.
 
Certamen is a competitive, buzzer-style game where participants answer questions for classically themed questions. The four major categories are the Latin language, Greco-Roman mythology, Roman history, and Roman culture. 

BLSJCL attends many events, like the annual National Convention and State Convention.

We also help the greater Boston area by volunteering at multiple service events throughout the school year.
